Amazing Grace at St. Joseph Diner
Twenty voices rose strongly together in sincere praise as Amazing Grace filled St. Joseph Diner on a regular Monday in July. Clients, staff, and volunteers breathed in the profound peace, that blanketed the room as the last notes of the hymn drifted to heaven.
It’s true y’all! A weekly Bible Study now takes place on our campus, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! The Bible Study, led by trained volunteers, Kyle Melancon and Joshua Richard, welcomes clients experiencing street-level homelessness and those in our St. Joseph Shelter. The study arose in response to the expressed need among clients for prayer and spiritual community on a regular basis.
The format is simple, reading Scripture aloud together, openly sharing about what the Scripture stirs in each individual, and closing in worship and intercessory prayer. Clients sign up, Bibles are brought or given, and the Holy Spirit is welcomed into our midst.
Please pray for our clients on Mondays when they gather to seek the Lord together. Please pray for grace, peace, forgiveness, healing, all the same things you would ask for yourself.
