For the first time ever, Catholic Charities of Acadiana is taking fresh meals, hand prepared by volunteers at St. Joseph Diner, out into the parishes of Acadiana to meet the need of thousands who are experiencing hunger and food insecurity.
Each nutritious, balanced meal served through the St. Joseph Diner Mobile program comes at a cost of $1. We are currently distributing 1,000 meals per week, which will soon ramp to 4,000 meals weekly, an annual cost of over $200,000.
