Rebuilding Homes.

Keeping Families Home.

Catholic Charities of Acadiana + HarvestCall

30 HOMES RESTORED • 600+ VOLUNTEERS COMING • 3 MONTHS OF WORK

Through the efforts of Catholic Charities of Acadiana, HarvestCall is returning to Acadiana for a third time — this time to Iberia and St. Mary parishes. They are bringing the hands. We need to help bring the funds.

Who is HarvestCall?

The outreach arm of the Apostolic Christian Church of America. Since the 1980s, its volunteers have rebuilt homes for disaster survivors across the South, arriving from congregations nationwide in weekly shifts.

What they will do here:

  • Bring skilled experts — experienced builders and tradespeople — into Iberia and St. Mary parishes.

  • Take on the worst cases — 30 homes already selected, where families are at real risk of losing their housing.

  • Rehabilitate — or completely rebuild — each home so the family stays safely housed and does not become homeless.

The Need

Restoring 30 homes will cost $600,000. HarvestCall has skin in the game: they are covering half — and sending 600+ volunteers who give their skill and their time. They have asked our community to raise the other half.

How your parish can help Give

  • Give. Consider a parish gift or a second collection.

  • Announce. Share this from the pulpit and in your bulletin.

  • Invite. Connect us with parishioners able to give generously.

  • Pray for the families and the volunteers who will serve them.a proven partner in acadiana

This is not HarvestCall’s first time here. Last year, their volunteers restored homes in Acadia, St. Landry and Lafayette parishes, and the results speak for themselves. Now they have chosen to return and bring that same gift to Iberia and St. Mary.
