Family Fun in the Kitchen
Teach children the importance of taking care of those most in need
Summer break is quickly approaching, and we know it can be a daunting task to keep the kids entertained. There are a multitude of camps and workshops to help your child grow artistically, musically, athletically, and mentally. While these activities are important for your child’s development, they are all inward focused. What if you also taught your kids the meaning of being an outward focused person by serving those who are most in need of aid?
St. Joseph Diner welcomes volunteers of all ages to serve three meals a day. While the kids are out of school this summer, plan a few family nights of service and show your kids the importance of serving others. They will see how small acts of kindness can brighten someone’s dark day. Even better, they will be able to witness you leading by example.
