Affected location: Rayne, LA

Primary Disaster Damage: Storm damage & flooding

Scope of Need: 70+ homes to be assessed

Type of Volunteers Needed: Damage Assessment Volunteers willing to go to multiple homes to compete requests and assessment, some areas of Rayne are still flooded. Higher up vehicles potentially better for travel.


Damage Assessment Volunteers Needed beginning April 1st!

Anyone can volunteer to help with damage assessments!

Damage Assessment Volunteers need only be able to drive, take pictures with their cell phone, and be willing to be kind and compassionate to those they encounter.

Damage Assessment volunteering is a great opportunity for those who can’t do the heavy lifting of field work!

Disaster Response volunteer with us…


If you have already completed the Disaster Response Volunteer Intake Form, then you’re ready to volunteer!


Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Any volunteer under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Volunteers should be self-sufficient. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation, lodging, and any necessary personal supplies, water, food, fuel, etc.
