Located in Lafayette, Louisiana, St. Joseph Shelter Men operates 365 days a year and shelters up to 32 men in a dormitory setting. Men seeking shelter should arrive at Stella Maris Center, located at 615 West Simcoe Street at 8:00 AM Monday - Friday to sign up for a bed.
A valid form of ID is required for admission. St. Joseph Shelter cannot shelter registered sex offenders or men with active warrants.
Please note that on nights that the shelter operates a freeze plan, IDs are not required to be sheltered for the night.

Located in Lafayette, Louisiana, the Emily House operates 365 days a year and shelters up to 48 women and their children in a hotel room style setting.

St. Michael Center for Veterans is an emergency and transitional housing program with supportive services for homeless male veterans.
The Emily House provides emergency and transitional housing for homeless female veterans, with or without children.
Basic Hygiene Services

Stella Maris Center provides a place for homeless individuals to take a shower, use the restroom, do laundry, and take care of other basic hygiene needs.Through partnerships with other local organizations, Stella Maris Center connects individuals with additional resources to assist them in obtaining housing.

St. Joseph Diner serves free lunch meals daily from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM St. Joseph Diner only requires that individuals seeking a meal treat each other, volunteers and staff with respect and dignity.
Immediate and Long-Term Recovery Assistance

Catholic Charities Disaster Response provides immediate response and long-term recovery assistance. Our staff provides leadership, guidance and resources in our community and provides direct support with a unique understanding of needs before, during and long after a disaster strikes.
Msgr. Sigur Center

The Msgr Sigur Center provides emergency financial assistance to individuals and families experiencing an involuntary reduction in income or unexpected expense. To apply for assistance, call or come in person.
The Msgr Sigur Center is open Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Assistance may include, but is not limited to: utility assistance, bus fare and prescription assistance; and fire, funeral or other disaster assistance.
The Msgr Sigur Center does not provide assistance with rent.
St. Bernadette Clinic
409 St. John Street
St. Bernadette Clinic, operated by Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, provides free non-emergency medical care to the non-working poor and homeless. Limited vision and dental service are available, that includes dental extractions. Please must bring a picture ID and any current medications.
St. Bernadette Clinic does not provide services for chronic illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or chronic pain. Services are coordinated through the clinic to provide chronic care, follow-up, dental care, and eye care referrals.
Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Friday by appointment only for dental services.
